  • Had I had the opportunity to vote for this year's Oscars, I might have considered Zoe for a nom. Not a win, but maybe a nom. My vote would be Avatar for Best Picture, and Bigelow for best Directing. Because Cameron PRODUCED this movie. The direction was somewhat commonplace.

  • And ALA had nothing to play for. They win, they probably move from #5 to #4 overall. Whoopee! Utah went in with everything to prove. Had ALA beaten FLA last year, and were playing for it all against Utah, different story.

  • I agree. BSU got the shaft having to play another mid-conference team, but had they matched up with OSU, TX, ALA or Florida in the bowl mix, I don't think they wouldn't be undefeated. I would have put BSU third, behind FLA. Then TX.

  • There is something about the feel of the standing at the controls of those games. Holding the controller in your hand is your training in driving. Standing in front of a Defender game FEELS like driving. And they were an investment. A quarter bought you a candy bar, or a game.

  • I recently saw "The Apostle" for the first time this year. I hadn't realized she was in it until I started watching. It is a sad day. She certainly deserved more credit, as she did manage to step out of the shadow of her stunning beauty later in her career.

  • Personally, growing up a Royals fan in the canyon-size stadium they had, the team never had a swatter in their glory days of the late 70's. They played fast, and won with small-ball.
